The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti police Department as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Turkish citizens, spouses- M.Q. (DoB 1981) and U.I. (DoB 1989) in Batumi for drug-related crime.
During the personal search of the detainees, law enforcers seized 300 pills of “Suboxin” drug and 64,886 gr of heroin.
Drug test revealed that U.I. had consumed MDMA, methamphetamine and other varieties of drug substances.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, VI part, sub-paragraph A of the criminal Code.
