The officers of Khobi regional police division of Samegrelo-zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division as a result of searching and investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained persons convicted for grave crimes in the past: Zaza K. (DoB 1974) and Goderdzi L. (DoB 1968) for robbery.
Investigation established that on March 11 detainees presented themselves to Akaki A. (DoB 1936) as employees of the refugees committee and thus managed to enter his house. Detainees physically assaulted Akaki A. appropriated, cash, jewelry and a shotgun under the threats of violence and left from the place of crime.
Law enforcers managed to detaine the mentioned persons in Khobi.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of robbery committed in group, article 178, II part, sub-paragraph A and article III, sub-paragraph A, C and D of the Criminal Code.
