The officers of the Main Division for Combat Illegal Circulation of Drugs of the Central Criminal Police Department along with the officers of Tbilisi Patrol Police Main Division as a result of joint operative-searching activities detained Valerian A. (DoB. 1971) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities in Tbilisi.
During the personal search of the detainee the law enforcers seized 62 pills and 16 pieces of buprenorphine containing drug - “subutex”, 7 capsules containing methadone salt and drug containing 1.1882 gr. of cannabis resin.
Drug test revealed that Valerian A. was the abuser of buprenorphine and tetrahydrocannabinol.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in particularly large quantities (Article 260, part VI, sub-clause “a” of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
