Kvemo Kartli Regional Division of Patrol Police Department along with Customs Department Revenue Service as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Armenian citizen Gevorq K. (DoB 1978) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs and bringing on the narcotics on the territory of Georgia. The mentioned person was detained on the operational area of the sixth sector of the third division of Border police.
As a result of searching detainee’s luggage law enforcers seized 40 pills of “Piralgin” which according to expertise contains 0,32gr of codeine. Investigation established that detainee attempted to smuggle drugs from Armenia to Georgia through Sadaklo border checkpoint. He has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs and bringing on the narcotics on the territory of Georgia, article 260, I part and article 262 I part of the Criminal Code.
