The officers of the Detectives Division of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, as a result of operative- searching and investigative activities carried out on the basis of operative information detained A.E (DoB: 1970), citizen of the republic of Turkey in Batumi for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
The law enforcers during the detainee`s personal search and the search of his rented apartment seized 48 pills of suboxin, which – according to the expert report – contained buprenorphine.
Investigation is in progress on the facts of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in particularly large quantities (Article 260, part VI, sub-clause “a” of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
