The officers of Marneuli Regional Division of Kvemo Kartli Regional Main Division of the MIA, as a result of operative-investigative activities carried out on the basis of operative information, detained previously convicted Gamlet M. – D.o.B.: 1965 – in Marneuli for illicit sowing, growing or cultivating of plant containing narcotics and illicit purchase, keeping, of drugs in especially large quantity.
The law enforcers seized 36,244 gr. of dried marijuana during the personal search of a detainee and his house, while more than 6 kilograms of cannabis were seized from the yard. Drug test confirmed the fact drug abuse. Gamlet M. pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress over the fact of illicit purchase and keeping of drugs and illicit sowing, growing or cultivating of plant containing narcotics in especially large quantity (part 1 of the article 260 and sub clause “a” of the part 3 of the Article 265 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
