The officers of Adjara Main Division as a result of the investigative activities carried out on basis of the operative information detained Natia Sh. (DoB: 1987; place of residence: Batumi) in Sarpi Border check-point on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and import to Georgia of drugs in especially large quantities.
The law enforcers seized 187 pills of “ecstasy” and 0,04218 gr. cocaine; according to the results of the chemical expertise 166 pills contain 7,2303 gr. of methylenedioxy-methamphetamine, while 21 pills contain 0,10489 gr. of narcotic substance amphetamine and 0,0524 gr. of methylenedioxy-methamphetamine. The detainee pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and import to Georgia of drugs in especially large quantities (sub clauses “a” of the parts 3 and 6 of the article 260 and sub clauses “a” of the parts 2 and 4 of the article 262 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
