Under the initiative of the Minister of Internal Affairs with the collaboration of the Research and Development Department and Service Agency innovative service for driver license examination aimed for the disabled persons was presented.
At the Service Agency, Rustavi Giorgi Mgebrishvili attended presentation of the vehicle adapted for the disabled persons. Minister participated in the imitated driver license examination and personally evaluated the efficiency of the new service.
“We try to fit the infrastructure of the Ministry to the needs of the disabled persons. At this time we offer unprecedented innovation product. At the Service Agency disabled persons will be able to undergo practical examination for the driver license with specially adapted vehicles. This innovation will make the examination much easier for them”-stated Minister Mgebrishvili.
At this stage, only certain categories of persons with disabilities will benefit from the specialized vehicles, however, in the future each person with disabilities will be able pass the practical test for the driver license with a specially adapted car.
One of the major priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs includes development of the innovative and social projects. Environment of each regional unit of the Service Agency is adapted for the persons with disabilities as a result of which they receive the desired service without any obstacles.
