The Ministry of Internal Affairs was awarded for "blood safety and regular support" with the certificate of appreciation. On the occasion of the Blood Donors World Day, within the framework of the campaign - "blood consolidates us all" - the awarding ceremony was held in L. Sakvarelidze National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.
Mr. Amiran Gamkrelidze, the General Director of the Center thanked the Ministry of Internal Affairs for regular support to blood donation campaign and awarded Mr. Levan Machavariani, the Deputy Director of the Patrol Police Department of the MIA with the certificate of appreciation.
The certificates of appreciation were awarded to the different units of the MIA, in particular: Patrol Police Department, Service Agency, N8 Division (Java-Oni) of the Border Police, Kvemo-Kartli Regional Division of the Security Police Department, Kvemo Kartli Emergency Situations Management Division of the Emergency Situations Management Agency of the MIA.
For the fourth year, hundreds of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs monthly donate blood for children suffering from leukemia. The Ministry cooperates with the “Blood Bank” of M. Iashvili Children's Central Hospital on a regular bases. The Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue donation of blood in the future.
