Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze will personally congratulate female employees of the ministry of Internal Affairs with women’s international day. For outstanding service Minister of Internal Affairs will award 54 female MIA employees with certificates of gratitude.
Under the initiative of the Minister additionally 213 female workers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received certificates of gratitude for outstanding fulfillment of the undertaken duties.
Ministry of Internal Affairs provides equal conditions of employment, both for men and women. Role of female police officer is especially important while investigating juvenile crime cases, domestic violence and trafficking. In the nearest future Ministry plans to increase the number of female workers up to 20%.

Women’s International Day was marked in 2013 for the first time and became a tradition under the initiative of the former Minister of Internal Affairs, Irakli Gharibashvili.
