First year of master’s program was solemnly opened at MIA Academy by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Levan Izoria and Nukri Gelashvili Rector of the Academy. Chairman of the Youth Affairs Committee of the Parliament Leri Khabelov and his deputy Shota Khabareli also attended the ceremony and congratulated students with the opening of the academic year. Deputy Minister Levan Izoria addressed students with speech and wished success. Students on their side outlined the importance of master’s program.
Master’s program on police regulation law has no analogs in Georgia. It is oriented on prevention of the violations. After passing relevant test exams 39 students were admitted to the Academy master’s program. It’s worth mentioning that Academy’s master’s program is free of charge, lasts for two years and with real chances to be employed at MIA after the completion. During the two year study period students will undergo theoretical studies as well as be physically and will undergo practice. Students from regions of the country will be accommodated at academy dormitory. They will also be able to use academy’s library full of necessary materials.
Aim of the master’s program is to train persons with academic education for being employed at the Ministry of Internal Affairs with relevant skills and knowledge in order to operate relevantly and preserve the supremacy of law, democratic and human values.
