Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs Archil Talakvadze and Levan Izoria met the delegation of UN Special Rapporteur on Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. The meeting was attended by the representatives of International Relations Department, Migration Department, Central Criminal Police Department, Main Division for the Protection of Human Rights and Monitoring, General Inspection and Patrol Police Department.
The parties discussed the status of human rights protection situation in detention facilities, completed reforms and planned activities of the Ministry in this direction.
