Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Shalva Khutsishvili attended the conference at “Radisson Blu Iveria” dedicated to remembrance of road traffic victims. Representatives of the United Nations also participated in the conference, as well as Florian Gubler Ambassador of Switzerland, Head of Public Relations Section at the US Embassy, Major of Tbilisi Davit Narmania and representatives from various state agencies. Deputy Minister addressed the audience with a speech.
The event was organized by: United Nations mission to Georgia, US Embassy and “Georgia Alliance for Safe Roads” organization.
The event was aimed at informing public on the safety of the traffic participants and their solutions. The meeting was also focused on sharing international experience and mobilization of the various sectors of the society to take active steps for preventing lethal results during car accidents.
At the meeting video dedicated to the persons killed as a result of car accidents was also presented.
