Senior management of the Patrol Police Department and the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia attended the 37th International Drug Enforcement Conference (IDEC) with the support of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), held in Jamaica.
Within the framework of the conference, the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia obtained information on issues related to transnational criminal organizations and disruption their supply chains.

This landmark conference aims to share information about international investigation and drug trafficking, to promote the cooperation and coordination, to familiarize with the latest trends and achievements of technologies, that are used in the field of law enforcement and furthermore, to improve the cooperation and communication of the law enforcement agencies at the international level.
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) under the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) has been cooperating with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia for many years in the area of combating Organized Crime, including drug-related crimes and cybercrimes, both in terms of operational activities and capacity development.
