The Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to inform society that today, on November 8, protest rally organized by opposition parties is planned to be held on Rustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi. Due to the protest rally, the traffic movement is restricted in some districts of the capital.
From 14:00 pm, the traffic movement has been completely restricted on Rustaveli Avenue, from the former post office building to Freedom Square.
Herewith, the traffic flow from streets leading to Rustaveli Avenue will also be restricted in particular from: Alexandre Chavchavadze, Mitropane Laghidze, Besiki, April 9, Zakaria Chichinadze, Sulkhan-Saba, Zubalashvili brothers (partially), Ingorokva, Abakhzi, Lesia Ukrainka, Meskhia, Revaz Laghidze, Vaso Abashsidze, Gia Chanturia, Archil Jorjadze and Anton Purtseladze streets. Transport movement will be directed to alternate routes.
The safe movement of traffic is ensured and regulated by patrol police crews. In case of necessary, drivers will receive additional instructions from patrol inspectors.
