From February 1, the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will start the gradual renewal of the services suspended due to the preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19 and will provide citizens on a daily basis from Monday to Saturday.
From February 1, the procedures related to vehicle registration, customs clearance, re-export and export will continue to operate on a daily basis. Also, arms registration will be fully restored for those who have already passed the relevant permit test, or do not require the test.
From February 1, those who have already passed the theoretical exam will be able to take the practical test for driving license.
It is notable that those willing to obtain a driving license will pass the B category practical test with SKODA RAPID vehicles equipped with a modern GPS system at the test sites in Rustavi and Gori, while in other structural units old vehicles will be gradually replaced by new models.
From the first of February, examination of mechanical vehicles outside the structural units of the Service Agency will also be available.
As for the references provided by the Service Agency, the application can only be received electronically, through the website of the Service Agency (www.sa.gov.ge). The finished document will be issued from the structural unit indicated in the application only on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
From February 1, consumers will still be restricted from taking the theoretical test for driving license.
Services will be temporarily unavailable in Tbilisi service center, located on G. Balanchine Street (except for the service of inspecting motor vehicles outside the structural unit of the Agency), as well as in the structural units of Akhalkalaki and Ambrolauri.
For the safety of citizens, the Service Agency operation is fully in line with the recommendations of the Interagency Coordination Council of the Government of Georgia. The agency urges citizens to wear face masks at the Service Agency.
