High-rank officials of the Kingdom of Belgium visited Temporary Detention Center of the MIA Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The delegation comprises of State Secretary for Asylum and Migration Mr. Theo Francken, Director General of the Immigration Office Mr. Freddy Rooseemont, Spokeswoman of the State Secretary Ms. Katrien Jansseune, the Advisor of the State Secretary Ms. Maaike De Vreese and Attache Federal Public Service of Home Affairs Ms. Katy Verzelen.
The director of the Center Zaza Phantsulaia hosted the guests. Mr. Phantsulaia got the delegation members familiarized with the work specifics of the Center and provided them with comprehensive information. The delegation members had an information tour in the Center appreciated the achieved results.
The visit aims at introducing implemented reforms and achieved progress in terms of migration management in Georgia, establishing bilateral relations and promoting fruitful future cooperation.
