In connection with the ongoing action on Rustaveli Avenue, in the area adjacent to the legislative body, the employees of various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are mobilized to maintain law and order.
Violent groups of the rally have already carried out a number of illegal actions, which manifested in shooting pyrotechnics and various objects at the parliament building and representatives of the law enforcement agency, as a result of which one employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was injured.
Georgian legislation ensures the right to assembly, demonstration and expression, as well as defines the forms of protest in order to protect public order and security.
We call on the participants of the rally to protest within the frames defined by the law.
Each illegal action will be followed by an appropriate legal response from the police.
