Hotline of Public Safety Management Center- 112 has been receiving calls from citizens on the existing regulations and rules imposed within the frames of the declared state emergency as well as questions on the so called temporary permissions as a result of which 112 centers of Tbilisi and Rustavi became overloaded.
On April 21, Public Safety Management Center 112 received 16908 in total. 65% of incoming calls have not been in connection with the center activities. Today, on April 22 the center has already received 4966 calls by 12:00 am out of which, 63% of calls turned out to be non-targeted.
Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to abstain from calling 112 hotline on the topics related to regulations and rules imposed within the frames of the declared state emergency and with questions on the so called temporary permissions, considering that Public Safety Management Center “112” is not authorized to issue temporary permissions for relocation.
Citizens who are actually in dire need of emergency services, including ambulance, patrol police or fire-rescue service are not able to contact the emergency response center “112” due to the large number of unreasonable calls.
Ministry would like to ask citizens to enable others contact Public Safety Management Center 112, considering the fact that there are people who are in urgent need of emergency services, to whom every second and minute is crucial.
