The employees of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative measures and investigative actions, arrested 2 persons in connection with the murder case in Mestia.
Detainees arrested for premeditated murder are: previously convicted R.A. (DoB 1952), and G.C. (DoB 1997).
The committed crime envisions from 10 to 15 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that on January 1 of the current year, in the village of Etseri, Mestia Municipality, a confrontation took place between several people, during which G.A., (DoB 1989) died due to a gunshot wound, while G.P. (DoB 1993) and R.P. (DoB 1998) were inflicted body injuries.
Law enforcement officers, as a result of immediate operative measures and investigative actions, arrested both persons accused of the crime.
The investigation into the fact of premeditated murder is ongoing under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
