Investigative agencies of Georgia comprise all structural units of the Ministries of Georgia, which conduct investigation of the criminal cases according to their jurisdiction, in particular: the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Corrections and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

January-August 2015 All investigative agencies throughout the country In the period between January-September 2015 all the investigative agencies throughout Georgia registered 26452 crimes, 15245 cases are solved. The index of the solved cases is 57.63%. In comparison with the results of the same period of the previous year the number of crime decreased by -4.48%.

According to investigation jurisdiction of MIA territorial units August 2015 In the period between January-September 2015 MIA territorial units registered 18704 criminal cases according to their investigation jurisdictions, 12582 cases had been solved. The index of the solved cases is 67.27%. In comparison with the results of the same period of the previous year the number of crime decreased by -5.47%.
