Ministry of Internal Affairs publishes crime statistics for May and January-May period, 2015. The mentioned statistics is comprised of the data provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as well as information collected from all investigative agencies throughout the country, which conduct investigation of the criminal cases according to their jurisdiction, in particular: General Prosecutor’s Office, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Corrections and Ministry of Finance.

May 2015
In May of 2015, 3179 crime cases have been registered out of which 1360 cases were solved. Case-solving index is 42.78%. In comparison with the results of the same period of the last year, the number of crime decreased by -7.48%.
In accordance with investigation jurisdiction of MIA territorial units

In April of 2015, 2094 crime cases were registered by MIA territorial units according to their investigation jurisdiction, out of which 1192 cases were solved; case-solving index in 56.92%. In comparison with the results of the same period of the previous year the number of crime decreased by -6.93%.
All investigative agencies throughout the country
January-May period 2015
In the period between January-May 2015 all the investigative agencies throughout Georgia registered 14711 crimes, 7914 cases are solved. The index of the solved cases is 53.8%. It should be noted, that criminal cases decreased by -11.78% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

In the period between January-April 2015 MIA territorial units registered 10244 criminal cases according to their investigation jurisdictions, 6680 cases had been solved. The index of the solved cases comprises up to 65,21%. It should be noted, that criminal cases decreased by -1,01% in comparison with the same period in previous year.
