Ministry of Internal Affairs publishes crime statistics for June and January-June period, 2015. The mentioned statistics is comprised of the data provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as well as information collected from all investigative agencies throughout the country, which conduct investigation of the criminal cases according to their jurisdiction, in particular: Ministry of Internal Affairs, General Prosecutor’s Office, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corrections.

In June of 2015, 3089 crime cases have been registered out of which 1386 cases were solved. Case-solving index is 44.87%. In comparison with the results of the same period of the last year, the number of crime decreased by -0.87%.
In accordance with investigation jurisdiction of MIA territorial units
June 2015
In June 2015, 2016 crime cases were registered by MIA territorial units according to their investigation jurisdiction, out of which 1203 cases were solved; case-solving index in 59.67%. In comparison with the results of the same period of the previous year the number of crime increased by +0.70%.
Increase in crime cases in conditioned by registered crimes for domestic violence (Article 126 prima domestic violence +87.23% and article 236 (Illicit Purchase, Keeping, Carrying, Production, Shipment, Transfer or Sale of Fire-Arms, Ammunition, Explosive Material or Explosive Devise) (+171.43%).
January-June, 2015
All investigative agencies throughout the country
In the period between January-June 2015 all the investigative agencies throughout Georgia registered 1734 crimes, 9772 cases are solved. The index of the solved cases is 56.05%. It should be noted, that criminal cases decreased by -4.93% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.
According to investigation jurisdiction of MIA territorial units
January-June, 2015
In the period between January-June 2015 MIA territorial units registered 12205 criminal cases according to their investigation jurisdictions, 8137 cases had been solved. The index of the solved cases comprises up to 66,67%. It should be noted, that criminal cases decreased by -5,25% in comparison with the same period in previous year.
