Investigative agencies of Georgia comprise all structural units of the Ministries of Georgia, which conduct investigation of the criminal cases according to their jurisdiction, in particular: the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Corrections

In August 2015, 3402 crime cases have been registered out of which 1463 cases were solved. Case-solving index is 43%. In comparison with the results of the same period of the last year, the number of crime decreased by -3.82%.

In August 2015, 2278 crime cases were registered by MIA territorial units according to their investigation jurisdiction, out of which 1293 cases were solved; case-solving index is 56.76%. In comparison with the results of the same period of the previous year the number of crime decreased by -5.28%.
January-August 2015 All investigative agencies throughout the country
In the period between January-August 2015 all the investigative agencies throughout Georgia registered 23550 crimes, 13307 cases are solved. The index of the solved cases is 56.51%. In comparison with the results of the same period of the previous year the number of crime decreased by -4.55%.
According to investigation jurisdiction of MIA territorial units August 2015
In the period between January-August 2015 MIA territorial units registered 16619 criminal cases according to their investigation jurisdictions, 11007 cases had been solved. The index of the solved cases is 66.23%. In comparison with the results of the same period of the previous year the number of crime decreased by -4.81%.
