The final match of the internal football tournament of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was held at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which was attended by Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri and Deputy Ministers: Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, Ioseb Chelidze and Giorgi Butkhuzi.
Teams of the Emergency Situations Management Service and the Patrol Police Department competed each other in the final match. The intense match ended with the victory of the team of the Emergency Situations Management Service.
The winner team was personally awarded by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, with the tournament cup, and the players of the mentioned team - with medals. Special award was given to the best scorer of the tournament, a member of the team of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department - Davit Janashia, who scored 19 goals during the tournament.
During the last month, in connection with "Police Day 2022", a football tournament was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Teams from different units of the Ministry participated in it.
The aim of the traditional annual internal football tournament of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is to promote healthy lifestyle among the employees of the Ministry.
