In connection with Independence Day, Ministry of Internal Affairs held ammunition, equipment and technic exhibitions applied by various MIA units. Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri along with Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili personally visited exhibition arranged on Rustaveli Avenue and viewed corner of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Minister of Internal Affairs also visited exhibitions offered by other ministries.
In front of the so called “Imeli” building Ministry of Internal Affairs exhibited fleet and heavy machinery of various MIA units, ammunition and equipment, in particular: patrol police vehicles- “Ford” “Mini Cooper”, “Pickup”, motorcycles and combat armored vehicles of Special Tasks Department: “Cobra” “Landrover Defender” and “Wolf”, Emergency Situations Management vehicle for firefighting, service vehicles, sedans, operative cars and snow mobile, new armored “Ford” made vehicle for encashment, aviation security operative vehicle, “Ford-ranger” of Encashment Division, border police quadrocycle, and vehicle applied for communications. Expert-forensic Main Division displayed radiological examination device, fully equipped mannequin and mobile lab, short automatic weapon and pistols which belong to Ammunition Division, new 3D tasks from theoretical part of the driving test, historic banners, which depict first car, car accident and driving licenses in Georgia. The visitors of the exhibition were also given the opportunity to see driving license printing machine, MIA’s Sport Club “MIA FORCE” racing cars and an exam car. The guests of the exhibition could also pass a theoretical part of the 3d driving test and get a symbolic driving license.
It’s worth noting, that Academy of the MIA presented so called virtual shooting range which offered the visitors a chance to shoot according to various scenarios with the help of Firearms training Specialist.
