The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Alexandre Chikaidze held the meeting with the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Vashckenko. At the meeting ministers signed the “Agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus on Cooperation in the Field of Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies”, which aims to deepen the bilateral partnership cooperation in the field of natural and manmade emergency situations. The statute of the working group for eliminating crisis situations was also signed at the abovementioned meeting. The goal of the working group is to organize and coordinate cooperation in this field.
During the visit, the delegation of the Republic of Belarus will visit the rescue-preparatory group of the Emergency Situations Department and attend the opening of the mountain-rescue course. On the 12th of March the delegation will pay a visit to the LEPL Service Agency and the LEPL 112. The visit of the delegation of the Republic of Belarus will end on 13th of March.
