The Global Director of the World Bank visited the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Deputy Minister - Giorgi Butkhuzi and Head of Emergency Situations Management Service - Teimuraz Mghebrishvili met with World Bank's Global Director for Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience and Land Global Practice- Sameh Wahba.
At the meeting, the representative of the Emergency Situation Management Service introduced the strategy of the service and future plans to the global director of the World Bank. The conversation also touched on the current infrastructural situation in the fire-rescue unit of the Emergency Situations Management Service and projects planned for the future. The meeting also focused on the results of critical infrastructure assessment studies prepared by the World Bank, which involves the impact of seismic risk on emergency response facilities and provides interesting and important recommendations in the direction of critical infrastructure protection.
The meeting at the Ministry of Internal Affairs was attended by the Manager of urban infrastructure and disaster risk management of the World Bank - Christoph Pusch and Disaster Risk Management Specialist - Tafadzwa Dube.
