According to the decision of the Minister of Internal Affairs - Vakhtang Gomelauri, the retired police officers will receive a special ID cards confirming their service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The order of the Minister of Internal Affairs regarding the initiative was issued on July 2 of the current year.
Retired police officer’s ID card is a specially designed plastic card that will be handed out to up to 10,000 former employees of the Ministry, receiving a compensation under the Law of Georgia on State Compensation and State Academic Stipends.
The purpose of the initiative of the Minister of Internal Affairs with regards to issuing special ID cards is to emphasize the importance of service fulfilled by the former employees of the agency.
Beginning from today, former employees of the Ministry will be able to apply to the Human Resources Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with relevant application for receiving special ID cards. The application must be submitted at the agency along with the reference issued by the LEPL - Social Service Agency, confirming that the person dismissed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been assigned to state compensation based on the Georgia legislation.
