The Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Vakhtang Gomelauri attended the meeting of the Parliamentary Trust Group. At the meeting Mr. Vakhtang Gomelauri spoke with the MPs about the issues implemented in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia in 2020 and future plans, also, the issues related to the state secrets and relevant projects were discussed.
The Minister of Internal Affairs discussed with the members of the Trust Group: the situation on the occupation line, the situation in the protection of the state border and the challenges related to the MPs.
Also, Vakhtang Gomelauri discussed with the members of the Trust Group the issues of border demarcation and delimitation, steps taken and projects of the Ministry of Internal Affairs aimed at strengthening cooperation with NATO, issues of strategic pipeline protection and fight against organized crime.
At the meeting of the Trust Group Vakhtang Gomelauri spoke about secret state procurements.

"We - the Ministry of Internal Affairs - made a report to the Trust Group. There were several important key topics, one of which was the Border Police.
We talked about what has been done, what we plan for future, what problems we have, what needs to be improved and what we are working on at present. Of course, there was the topic of fight against organized crime; we reviewed the situation in 2020 and clarified what we have done and what we have prevented.
Also, one of the important topics we have discussed was the security of strategic pipelines, which is very important and as you are aware the Ministry of Internal Affairs implements this. We talked about the issue of secret procurement; actually the volume in this regard is small, however, we presented the facts and clarified what we used these funds for "- said Vakhtang Gomelauri.
