Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Mr. Giorgi Mgebrishvili held a meeting with Bettina Kadenbach, the Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany in Georgia. The parties discussed the perspectives of the Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia and the future plans of cooperation between two countries.
The Minister of Internal Affairs underlined the aspects of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan, which was successfully achieved and positively reflected in the European Commission report. Mr. Giorgi Mgebrishvili, the Minister emphasized that the goal of the Ministry is the implementation of the reforms of law enforcement agency in compliance with the European standards.
The parties focused on the close cooperation between the federal law enforcement agencies of Germany and the Central Criminal Police of the MIA, which has resulted in significant outcomes in term of combat organized crime.
At the end of the meeting Mr. Giorgi Mgebrishvili thanked to Bettina Kadenbach for the support of German party in the sphere of capacity building of the Ministry and expressed his hope that cooperation between the two countries in the field of law enforcement will be even more intensified.
