Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze attended the closing ceremony of Defense Security Conference at “Sheraton Hotel” in Batumi. The conference was closed with the speech, delivered by the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili. The event was attended by US Ambassador Richard Norland, Minister of Defense Iraakli Alasania, Chairman of the Georgian Parliament Davit Usupashvili and Kestutis Masiulis-permanent representative of Lithuania to NATO.
Ninth Defense and Security Conference was held in Batumi on June 27-28. Aim of the conference is to share experience in defense and security fields and to deepen the co-operation. Defense and Security Conference was formed in South Caucasus region as the conference on security policy, which will review current challenges in security and defense spheres and discuss ways of eradicating the mentioned issues on the regional as well as on international level.
