Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze is paying an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan. Today the meeting between Aleksandre Tchikaidze and President of Azerbaijan Ilkham Alyev was held. At the meeting sides discussed relations between the countries, co-operation in the law enforcing sphere and issues of regional security.
Today Aleksandre Tchikaidze also met his Azerbaijani colleague – Minister of Interior Ramil Usubov. During the meeting sides reviewed issues connected with co-operation and future prospects. Minister discussed prospects for further co-operation in the law enforcing sphere and namely in districts near to the state border.
Before the official meetings Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia along with other members of delegation visited “Honorable Funerals” lane. Minister paid tribute to the memory of national leader of Azerbaijani people- Heidar Alyev and his spouse Zarifa Alyeva and laid a wreath on their graves. Aleksandre Tchikaidze also visited “Shehids lane” and laid a wreath on the memorial of “Eternal Fire”.
Official visit to Azerbaijan will be completed on May 16.
