Today Austrian Delegation conducted official visit in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The Delegation was headed by General Franz Lang, Director of Austrian Federal Criminal Office (BKA). The Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandre Tchikaidze and other high-rank officials of the Ministry held the meeting with the Delegation members.
At the meeting the Parties discussed the details of implementation of ILECU (International Law Enforcement Cooperation Units) project, especially on the background that the Austrian party actively supports the implementation process of the project. Furthermore, the issues of state security, fight against crime and other important issues were discussed at the meeting.
Director of Austrian Federal Criminal Office also visited Emergency Response Center “112” and met with Giorgi Bitchashvii, Director of the center.
At the meeting sides discussed implemented and scheduled reforms at “112”. Director of Austrian Federal Criminal Office and other members of delegation received comprehensive information on the operation of ERC (Emergency Response Center) viewed the center and got familiarized with the specifics of the work process.
Visit of the Director of Austrian Federal Criminal Office, General Franz Lang to “112” is aimed at establishing co-operation in the emergency management sphere between the two countries and sharing experience.
