The officers of Gori Police Division under Shida Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities detained A.R. (DoB 1978) on the basis of the relevant court decision. The detainee is accused of domestic violence, inciting spouse to commit suicide and illegal restriction of freedom. The crime envisages from 2 to 4 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that detainee physically assaulted his wife – N.N. (DoB 1983) on the regular basis. Police also ascertained that A.R. illegally restricted her freedom as a result of which the victim made an attempt to commit suicide.
Law enforcers found out the mentioned when the victim was admitted to the hospital in poor health condition.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of domestic violence, inciting spouse to commit suicide and illegal restriction of freedom, articles 1261 I part, 111 -115 and 111 -143, part I envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
