From March 16, 2021, in order to further enhance traffic safety, 8 sections of traffic speed control were launched in the Guria region, in the territory of Ozurgeti municipality:
1. From the 47th kilometer of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Heroes' Square) to the 44th kilometer of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Bokhvauri turn), speed limit 50;
2. From the 44th kilometer of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Bokhvauri turn) to the 40th kilometer of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Bakhvi turn), the speed limit of 50 km / h;
3. From the 40th kilometer of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Bakhvi turn) to the 44th kilometer of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Bokhvauri turn), the speed limit of 50 km / h;
4. From the 44th kilometer of Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti highway (Bokhvauri turn) to the 47th kilometer of Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti highway (Heroes' Square), speed limit 50 /
5. From the 49th kilometer of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti highway (Anaseuli turn) to the 53rd kilometer of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti highway (Chanieti turn), permitted speed limit -80 km / h;
6. From the 53rd kilometer of Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Chanieti turn) to the 54th kilometer of Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Kakuti bridge), 80 km / h permitted speed /
7. From the 54th kilometer of Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Kakuti bridge) to the 53rd kilometer of Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Chanieti turn), permitted speed limit 80 / km/h
8. From the 53rd kilometer of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Chanieti turn) to the 49th kilometer of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road (Anaseuli turn), permitted speed limit- 80 km / h.
After launching additional speed control sections, 1238 km long highway will be monitored by the speed sectional control system throughout Georgia in total.
