The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomeluari hosted the delegation of the Inspectorate General of the Security Forces of the Czech Republic headed by the Director of the Inspectorate, Brigadier General Radim Dragoun. The meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs was attended by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Petr Mikyska.
Vakhtang Gomelauri underlined the beneficial cooperation with the law enforcement agencies of the Czech Republic, which is effectively realized through the Georgian police attach deployed in the Czech Republic.
During the meeting held within the frames of the visit of the delegation, the Head of MIA General Inspection, Giorgi Iosebidze and the Director of the Inspectorate General of the Security Forces of the Czech Republic, Radim Dragoun signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The mentioned document envisages the sharing of experience and best practices between the parties in the prevention and detection of crimes, as well as in the field of disciplinary proceedings.
The guests got familiar with the activities, structure and functions of the MIA General Inspection through presentations delivered during the meeting.
The Inspectorate General of the Security Forces of the Czech Republic is an independent law enforcement agency, which investigates crimes perpetrated by police officers and other representatives of law enforcement agencies in their line of duty.
