Shalva Bedoidze, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia along with the delegation paid an official working visit to the Republic of Lithuania. The delegation was hosted by the General Commissioner of the Police of the Republic of Lithuania, Renatas Pozela.
Within the framework of the visit, the members of the delegation attended the event dedicated to the Police Day of the Republic of Lithuania. A bilateral meeting was also held with the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Lithuania - Vitalij Dmitrijev.
Within the framework of the bilateral meeting, the parties discussed the issues of cooperation in the field of law enforcement and talked about the prospects of future relations. First Deputy Minister - Shalva Bedoidze emphasized the importance of fruitful cooperation with the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Lithuania.
The delegation also visited various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, where they were provided with detailed information about the specifics of the work of the relevant structural units.
Within the framework of the official visit, representatives of the delegation also met the Mayor of Neringa Municipality - Darius Jasaitis.
At the end of the visit, the parties emphasized that cooperation between the two countries in the field of law enforcement will continue actively in the future.
