The Top Brass of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Turkey visited the MIA Border Police of Georgia. The delegation was received by the Head of the Border Police of Georgia, Colonel Zurab Gamezardashvili, the Director of the Patrol Police Department Colonel Davit Tsinaridze, Deputy Director of Patrol Police, Colonel Levan Matchavariani and other officials of the Border Police. The meeting had an introductory character.
Georgian side made a presentation about Georgian Border Police and discussed the current situation and problems, referred to the threats and risks at the State border. The guests were introduced with the ongoing processes and functions of the agency.
The sides discussed the bilateral cooperation issues and future plans and priorities.
