The officers of investigation unit of the division for the combat against crime under Patrol Police Department Main Division of MIA as a result of immediate operative-searching activities detained Giorgi K. (DoB 1989) for armed robbery. The officers of Patrol Police managed to arrest Giorgi K. while he assaulted operator of the supermarket located at Vaja-Pshavela Avenue, Tbilisi with the intention of money appropriation. Investigation revealed that detainee assaulted on operator under the pressure of the knife, which has been already seized by law enforcers as the weapon of crime.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed robbery, article 179 part 1 of Criminal Code.
