Four experts of the Bureau of the Criminal Police and Investigation Service of the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic paid a working visit to the Forensic-Criminalistic Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
The main purpose of the visit was to facilitate activities of the law enforcement agencies and raise awareness on effective crime investigation.
Within the framework of the working visit, the Czech experts held meetings with the representatives of the Forensic-Criminalistic Department and the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
During the meetings, parties discussed the following issues: crime scene examination, blood trace and its’ documentation, inspection of DNA, fingerprints, firearms, also comparison with foreign databases.
The Czech experts got acquainted with the work specifics of the Forensic-Criminalistic Department on site and inspected relevant laboratories.
At the end of the visit, the Czech side invited Georgian experts to pay a corresponding visit to the Czech Republic.
