The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced vacancies in Kvemo Kartli region, namely in Rustavi, in order to expand the area of activity of community officers within the framework of criminal police reform.
The competition was announced for 20 vacant positions of community officer.
Community officer institute is a model of community-oriented policing activity, serving as one of the tools of crime prevention. The mentioned institute aims to strengthen the preventive activities of the police.
The competence of community officer includes such important issues as: responding to issues and challenges related to minors, domestic violence, neighborhood disputes, illegal migration, vulnerable groups.
The responsibilities of community officer also include: planning and implementation of measures focused on crime prevention; collection and processing of information; conducting cases of administrative violations; responding to witnessed crime.
Community officer institute will be introduced gradually across the country in all major cities.
