Representatives of the Emergency Response Center 112 attended annual Awards Ceremony of European Emergency Number Association (EENA),
Delegation of Georgian 112 attended the ceremony with the aim to share experience in emergency management situations and meet international experts who are qualified in the mentioned area.
Within the frames of the visit representatives of the 112 center viewed exhibition which introduced Emergency management and achievements and latest technology in the field of the emergency management, such as: role of technologies in the field of the emergency management; Call Center preconditions for effective work; effective campaigns for raising awareness on the emergency number and role of the social media during the emergency. Within the frames of the conference significant interest was paid to discussing challenges existing in the emergency field and sharing recommendations. Representatives of the Georgian 112 center visited Emergency Response Center 112 in Bucharest and received information from colleagues on work specifics.
At the annual conference Georgia was presented as the speaker country, which introduced presentation – “Challenges and Strategic Directions” to the attendants.
At the annual conference Georgia received awarded in the nomination-“The outstanding citizen”. It is important to outline that the abovementioned award was won by Georgia 8 year old boy whwo saved his mother’s life by calling emergency number “112”.
