The officers of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities detained several times convicted in past – N.N. (DoB 1989) for premeditated murder, attempted murder committed against two or more people under aggravating circumstances well as for destruction/damaging other’s property.
Committed crime envisages from 16 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.
Investigation established that detainee, along with his girlfriend – A.U. (DoB 1999) and with acquaintance – M.M. (DoB 1984) were visiting L.Sh. (DoB 1983) in his apartment.
Conflict between M.M. and N.N. resulted in physical confrontation. During the incident, N.N. inflicted body injuries to M.M. and L.Sh. L.Sh. managed to escape from the scene, while M.M. died at the place of crime due to the sustained traumas.
L.Sh. has been transferred to the treating facility for rendering respective medical aid. Detainee, in order to conceal the traces of crime, set fire to the apartment where the crime took place and fled from the site along with his girlfriend.
After having inspected the crime scene, law enforcement officers seized the weapon of crime- knife.
Female who accompanied the assailant – A.U. did not report regarding the grave crime to the police. Thus, she was detained by police for non-reporting the grave crime. The committed crime envisages from 3 to 7 years of imprisonment.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder, attempted murder committed under aggravating circumstances against two or more people, destruction or damaging other’s property as well as on the fact of non-reporting the crime to the police, crimes envisaged under the articles 108, 19-109, III part, sub-paragraph “A”, 187, II part, sub-paragraph “A” and 376, II oart envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
