The employees of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational and investigative activities, detained Z.T. (DoB 1966) in Tbilisi for premeditated murder.
The crime envisions up to 15 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the defendant, who was under the influence of alcohol, inflicted body injuries with a cold weapon to D.S. (DoB 1957) on the basis of argument, who died on the spot. In order to conceal the traces of the crime, Z.T. moved the body of the deceased away from the crime scene and left it on one of the streets.
Law enforcement officers, as a result of operational and investigative activities, arrested the alleged perpetrator of the crime shortly after the incident.
The investigation is being conducted under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies premeditated murder.
