The officers of Old Tbilisi Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search measures and investigative activities, arrested 2 persons convicted in past - E.N. (DoB1995) and T.H. (DoB 1995) for hooliganism committed in group, while previously convicted M.F. (DoB 1995) was charged with inflicting severe health damage on purpose in absentia.
The committed crime envisions from 3 to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that on June 11 of the current year, the argument, which started in one of the bars on Davit Agmashenebeli Avenue, Tbilisi, evolved into the physical confrontation. The conflict later continued outside the facility. During the confrontation, M.F. wounded one of the persons involved in the incident - J.U. (DoB 1989) with a cold steel and fled the crime scene. The wounded man was taken to hospital for relevant treatment.
During the physical confrontation, three other persons involved in the conflict received various injuries, namely: M.C. (DoB 1998), A.M. (DoB 1995) and R.D. (DoB 1990). They received appropriate first aid at the clinic. All four injured men are currently receiving treatment at home.
As a result of operative measures and investigative activities, the law enforcers identified the accused persons as a result of immediate police activities shortly after the incident, and later arrested 2 persons in Tbilisi, and one of them was charged in absentia. A sound pistol was removed as evidence.
In order to identify all persons involved in the incident and to impose the relevant legal liability, operative-search measures and investigative activities are being carried out at the moment.
Investigation into the facts of hooliganism committed by a group, inflicting severe health damage on purpose and violence against two or more persons are being investigated under Article 239, Part II, Subparagraph “A” and Part III, Article 117, Part I, as well as Article 126, part I, Subparagraphs "B" and "C" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
