Police detained 2 more people in connection with the criminal case launched against Mikheil Saakashvili by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the fact of illegal crossing of the state border. The detainees are: Sh. Ts. (DoB 1984) and Z.Ts. (DoB 1960).
On October 1 of the current year, the law enforcers brought similar charges against E.Ts. (DoB 1958). The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia charged him under Article 375, Paragraph II of the Criminal Code of Georgia, for concealment of a serious crime without prior promise, envisaging up to four years of imprisonment.
Investigation on fact of illegal crossing of the Georgian state border by Ukrainian citizen -Mikheil Saakashvili, illegal transfer of a migrant on the Georgian state border by an organized group and concealment of a serious crime without prior promise is in progress under Article 344, Part I, Article 344, Part III, Article 375, Part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia. All relevant procedural and investigative activities are actively conducted at the moment.
