Employees of Marneuli district division of Kvemo Kartli police department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative actions detained J.H. (DoB 1994) and G.A. (DoB1981) for illegal deprivation of liberty committed in a group against a minor.
The committed crime envisions from 7 to 10 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that on June 7 of the current year, in one of the villages of Marneuli Municipality, J.H. illegally restricted freedom to S.K. (DoB 2007) for forced marriage. G.A., who is currently arrested as an accused person, also participated in the mentioned criminal act.
Police, as a result of intensive operational search and investigative measures, determined the whereabouts of the kidnapped girl.
Law enforcement officers detained J.H. and G.A as an accused individuals.
The investigation into the fact of illegal deprivation of liberty of a minor by a group with a prior agreement is being conducted in accordance with Article 143. Part III, sub-paragraphs "A" and "D" of the Criminal Code of Georgia
