The employees of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative activities, detained A.I. (DoB 1973) for premeditated murder.
The committed crime envisions from 10 to 15 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that on July 14 of the current year, in the village of Dari Kesalo, Marneuli Municipality, based on the existing conflict regarding the ownership of a land plot, detainee wounded his fellow villager - T.E. (DoB 1958) with a firearm. After the incident detainee fled from the scene. The wounded man died shortly after being transferred to the medical facility.
The investigation into the fact of premeditated murder is in progress under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
