The officers of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained several times convicted in past I.G. (DoB 1970), as a result of operative-investigative measures and investigative activities carried out together with Kvemo Kartli Police Department. The mentioned person was wanted by police for committing the attempted premeditated murder of several persons under aggravating circumstances.
The committed crime envisions from 16 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.
The investigation established that on May 21 of the current year, in the village of Akura, Telavi Municipality, the accused person had an argument with brothers - K.M. (DoB 1976) and B.M. (DoB 1986) as well as their mother - E.M. (DoB 1954) and his own son – G.G. (DoB 1993) – who were shot from the firearm as a result of which, the victims received body injuries. After the incident the attacker fled the crime scene.
As a result of the injuries inflicted, K.M. died at the scene while the injured persons were taken to the hospital and treated appropriately.
The detainee was taken under arrest in Rustavi as a result of operative-investigative activities.
The investigation is underway under Article 19-109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia on the fact of attempted premeditated murder committed under aggravating circumstances.
